Commissioned in the Indian Navy on 01 Jan 1986 in the Executive Branch. He is a specialist in Gunnery and Missile deployment. He has had many ship and shore appointments.
He was also in the selection panel for officers and served three tenures as a psychologist in various Services Selection Boards, for a period spanning 12 years. During this period he assessed about 3000 candidates for the Army, Navy and Airforce and also the Indian Coast Guard. He was also the Head of the Psychological Department in all the SSBs he served.
Joined INA in 2010 as graduate under University Entry Scheme. Thereafter, Indian Naval Aviation Cadre and specialist in Russian origin Kamov 31 aircraft. Appointments includes Manager Aircraft at Naval Aircraft Yard(Goa), Senior Technical Officer On-board INS Vikramaditya and AIRCATS(Goa).
Served 10 years including 1.5 years at 33 SSB Bhopal as GTO and assessed about 800 candidates of all types of entry.
